Final Draft

(of printed book reports)

Make sure you:

  • run the spell check once more
  • check the margins and type style
  • review your grammar
  • proofread for punctuation and spacing
  • adjust the spacing, so it is easy to read and easy for your teacher to grade!

Hint: If you are not doing a traditional essay-type book report, think about the paper you'll use when you print. Look at color, shape and quality. If you did your report newspaper style, try pasting the pages on thin 11X17 paper so it feels more like the real thing?! Be imaginative! For example, if you read Charlotte's Web, why not print your report on pink paper and cut it into the shape of a pig?! There are also all kinds of pre-printed papers available at office supply stores. Would any of those highlight your work?

Fix any mistakes and print your final copy.

Are you ready to hand in your paper?
